Blackfish

Over the weekend, I got to see the movie Blackfish with my sister Jessica. Generally, I strongly dislike Sundance. I mean seriously there are quite the amount tourists. Honestly people, if you're going to come here and flounce around in your seal coat and yeti boots you are going to be looked at funny and possibly laughed at. Sorry, but it's the truth. Anyways, getting a little off topic there, I want to say that as much as I dislike Sundance Blackfish was overall a really great movie. The movie was about a whale named Tilikum living in captivity at SeaWorld. Tilikum is a killer whale. I mean literally. He has killed several trainers and killed one criminal. Researchers were intrigued by this whale. Why is he killing people? Is he just a "Mr. Grumpy Gills" or what? They found out that Tilikum isn't a crazy-psycho whale he just doesn't belong in captivity. He is an animal weighing two tons he doesn't belong in captivity. He belongs in the ocean where he is free. He doesn't belong in a place where is he separated from his friends, or where he is deprived of food, etc. He belongs in the deep blue ocean where can swim along freely. You can take the animal out of the wild but you can never take the wild out of the animal. Try as hard as you can to train them, but they will always be a "wild" animal.
